Throughout the New Testament we are reminded that we have a spiritual enemy. The evidence of that enemy’s work in our world seldom identifies the enemy himself. But we can’t mistake evil and its effects on our world.
The New Testament describes a real enemy. We find this in the words of Paul, James, Peter and John, and even Jesus. Today’s message is to see the issue, not in terms of the secular world, but in terms of our resisting this enemy as Christians.
Someone once paraphrased the adage: God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life—into this: Satan hates you and has a horrible plan for your life!
